ONE DAY AWAY FROM THE CHAOS!

We are but a day away from the first US Training! I can't really believe it has been a month! It seems like a series of days, but despite the fast-paced sunrise and sunsets, I have learned so much. Just in this month God has revealed to me more and more of who He is, like really, who He is, and also, who I am, and I mean, who I really am.

Just in this short amount of time, the Lord has revealed to me my idolatry of HOME. It's crazy that I had to travel 3 thousand miles (i don't even know) to see my sin- this tight grip I hold on to called home (the physical home, my community, my own security, the family) I won't go into detail, but God is faithful and this experience is shaping me. Thank you for your prayers.

I have seen the reality of God's righteousness, reading through Romans, and walking through the barracks of Auschwitz. I see now that our very understanding of morality hinges upon His righteousness. I saw how real Evil is and it all the more magnifies how Good He is. Seriously.

I have seen his faithfulness to deliver prayers. More so, I have seen his faithfulness to put us in positions where we have to solely rely on his deliverance. I mean for one of our camps, 5 students dropped off. We were only left with 8 students and camp was a matter of weeks. We interacted with a few kids from the school, talked about English camps...nothing outstanding. But camp was not going to happen unless 15 kids signed up. What can we do? What amount of persuasion was going to get 7 more students to sign up for an evangelical camp a few weeks from it? We prayed and prayed. And the next thing I knew, 7 kids all signed up. Four of them from the classes we went to! He is faithful don't you forget it!

Please Pray for

1. US Team Training
-Unity with the American Team
-Encouragement, Equiping, Empowerment

2. Pray for me as I will lead worship. Pray that it will be deep and encouraging time. Pray my pride does not get in the way of the Spirit

3. Pray for our first camp this Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!! 40 Students...16 unbelievers!!

4. Pray for all the camps...all the teams...

I love you and thank you with all I have!

1 Peter 2:10-12

"Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul."

We are sojourners, my friends... home will come soon enough. Until then...

Glory to God who can just doesn't make the bad things better, but swallows it! Consumes it, and magnifies grace and victory!

1 Corinthians 15:53-55

For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."
"Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?

Sunday thoughts.... 6.20.10

I got to see a baptism today. It was refreshing to see something like baptism done in a different way. This church does baptisms once a year. People who wanted to be baptized would go through a 6 month bible study and then as a whole church, they gather by this dam in Harirov and publicly display their committed decision to follow Christ.
It was a rainy day, abut 60 degrees, but some guys thought it would be a shame to waste a day to the dam without a swim.
Though I can't understand anything during church, I have been enjoying that time to pray for the church and the believers there. I also started reading through the book of Psalms on Sundays. It's a fascinating book of worship. Even just being out here, my very understanding of worship is being transformed as I have watched people and read through scripture.

Psalm 3:3-7 "But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the LOrd, and he answered me form his holy hill. I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the Lord sustained me. I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. Arise, O Lord! Save me, O my God"

What a beautiful honest cry for help. It's amazing that the love of God would delight and accept our worship even if it is a cry for help or desperation. I suppose He really does care about the details of our lives.

NCC Junior Highers, I am praying for you Summer Camp up and in UCYC! I pray God will reveal Himself to you in a fresh way. I pray that many of you come to know Him personally; there is no greater thing in life, I promise!

Pray the individuals who took the step to follow Christ. Satan just has a grip on this country. But amazingly, God's grace abounds. Jana, one of the participants in the baptism is 30 and actually became a believer at last year's English camp. God is good.

Please continue prayers for Orlova and our English camp. Still awaiting for signups. Right now there are only 8 people, and not a single Czech believer.

Please pray for Sean's leg. He is coordinating sports and activities, and his knee is injured from a football game with the youth.

With my Love, 9 hours into the future
