There is something special, I think, about the wilderness. Many times we read about Characters being driven into the wilderness and there the voice of God finds them. I think about the Israelites wandering, Elijah, John the Baptist, and Jesus himself. It is in the thickness of creation, the untamed environment that I find to be my spiritual temperament. Not because of the aesthetic, or the lull of nature, but the stillness. The stillness that will allow a whisper to be heard.

love the images. love your voice. love you. love God for calling you in such a time as this.
